» Foggy Morning on the Mountain | April 2016
Time lapse of morning fog dissipating over Lost Cove.
» Lost Cove Sunset | March 2016

One of our best early spring fogs in Lost Cove, right outside our back door!
» Fog at the Camp | June 2015
Nice fog time-lapse on a crisp June morning!
» Rain Overtakes the Elk River Valley - January 2015
A different angle, from a friend's house, looking north, back toward our Cabin, as the rain moves into the Elk River Valley...
» Fall Fog Time Lapse - October, 2014
The trees are showing their colors as the fog drifts about in the valley.
» Fall Sunrise - October, 2014
A cool October morning, with the fog hanging tough in the bottom of the valley.
» Fall Sunset - October, 2014
A complete October sunset in 3 minutes, from late afternoon to complete darkness. Watch the shadows slowly creep over the trees in the foreground; then, on the hills in the distance.
» Sunrise & Sunset - July, 2014
First, a foggy valley sunrise (watch the fog roll and boil off); then, a beautifully cool summer evening (watch the clouds on the distant horizon :)
» Camp Sunrise - December, 2013
Two versions -- one at 80x normal speed, the second at 20x normal speed. Audio is at normal speed; you'll hear the sound of the waterfall (off-camera, 400 feet to the left).
Watch the hill on the right, which catches the first rays of the morning sun. Also notice the wispy "ghost clouds" that briefly appear just as the sun reaches the bottom of that hill. Then watch the smaller hill, just left-of-center, as it finally sees the sun! (Flickering in the videos is the result of the camera's auto-exposure control adjusting the exposure.)
» Camp Sunrise - September, 2013
Two hours' worth of sunrise, compressed into 90 seconds. Watch how the sun finally reaches the near hillside, and gradually reveals the details in the forest in which it is covered.
» Clouds at the Camp, Part III - August, 2013
The Wet Summer of 2013 continued into early August, where we saw more ‘dances with clouds’ from the front porch!
» The Storm Comes, the Storm Goes | July, 2013
In this week's episode, we have the "complete life-cycle" of a downpour that begins down where I-24 crosses Monteagle; watch it slowly cover up Monteagle mountain as it marches toward the camera. Keep your eye on the hill in the foreground, and stay with it as the rains slowly subside, the fog begins to form, and finally blows away near the end! (BTW, the places where the picture appears to "jump" are where the camera was adjusting its auto-exposure for the changing brightness of the scene...)
» Clouds at the Camp, Part I | June, 2013
An especially rainy and cloudy morning made for some amazing clouds, captured here in High Definition!
» Clouds at the Camp, Part II | June, 2013
A second sequence from the same morning as Part I, also in High Definition!
» The Coming Storm | May, 2013
Brief but beautiful sequence of a heavy shower coming up the valley, toward the Camp.

It's back … with a vengeance!
» Fog Rush Hour | July 16, 2009
